What is a Lineage Society?  In short, a Lineage Society is a social organization that serves to recognize and honor a specific heritage or an event.  Membership is based on an applicant’s ability to prove, through documented evidence, lineal descent from one or more of the society’s list of qualified ancestors.  Lineage Societies have specific guidelines that must be followed in support of the application process and in some cases, application is by invitation only. That is the dry part of the membership process. Once admitted, you will find that you have joined a fraternal organization that affords you the chance to recognize and honor your ancestor and engage in honoring our American Heritage with like-minded people who share a similar history with you.

Below is a snapshot of some of the best-known Lineage Societies in America.  Again, most have specific application guidelines so, I encourage you to visit the society’s website (Click on the bolded script) and if you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
